I think a healthy way to deal with this would be to...

Thanks, but I think you need to realize that threads like these are just banter, all in good fun. Nobody is overly mad or aggravated. I've already written Motorola directly BTW.

So many people seem to have forgotten that light debate and conversation are important and entertaining, even on the internet. When you and your buddies go back and forth, do you redirect them to a "healthy" way to express their opinion? I hope not.

I think a healthy way to deal with this would be to contact Verizon and voice your concern with their business in a constructive manner (such as one member here did) and see where that goes rather than arguing on a message board that they probably aren't reading anyway.

I heartily agree that direct contact is even better (I sent out a letter as well, and may send more), but consumer awareness of the issue is also critical so that more people provide feedback to the companies involved.

@Alan B other poster with the dictionary; I understand the sentiment, but the difference is that you signed a contract giving them the right to market to you and otherwise alter your phone, while no such agreement was made between you and Mr. McAdam.

I feel this thread should be locked. Its pointless and going no where.Evert phone has bloatwere so get over it. They provide city Id as a service to customers they offer a free trial and the option to pay a fee or not use it. It has been around a long time even my dumb phones have it. And there was no way to remove it. So lets move on.
