The wallpaper resolution?

Hey guys, I'm curious what is the wallpaper required resolution for Note 2?
I tried: 1280x720, 1440x1280 even 1920x1080 - all of them become blurred and low res when applied as a wallpaper. Only the stock ones are sharp and nice. Any hints?

I havent had a problem with using any picture either from my camera or a wallpaper from the web. They all come out very sharp and look great

That's strange. What resolution do you use?

I've noticed that the problem occurs only if I set the wallpaper from my picasa album. If I download it locally on the phone then it's sharp and fine as it should be.
It's very strange, because it never happens on my galaxy s3.
