Its Non-removable Li-Ion 2770 mAh battery nowadays priority is for battery backup even 3000mAh is not even giving much backup! What's the battery backup we can expect in google pixel

I think when Ptaswath says "backup" he/she means the remaining battery capacity after "normal full-day use" for the user.

So, they're stating the battery specs, then saying nowadays a large priority when purchasing a smartphone is how much battery remains after a full day, and they're upset saying that the 5" Pixel will not have enough battery capacity (even though no one's even used one yet and battery life has many more variables than just mAh).

Agreed, it has a lower res smaller screen than most of the competition. And 7.1 might be super frugal in battery usage. No idea until some one uses it for a while!

I wonder why it's so hard for manufacturers to at least throw out a 3000mah for a phone. I think 3000mah should be the phone battery standard these days

To be honest, I get a full day out of my 5x. I must admit that the Amoled screen could make a big difference.

But it's only 1080.

But it's only 1080.

Exactly, this.

This phone is going after the iPhone, and the iPhones (especially the 7 Plus) have some INCREDIBLE battery life (if you're not someone obsessed with Snapchat, that horrid app is like a Toggle from the days of Number Muncher in terms of battery consumption) and they don't have 3000 man or higher batteries.

I doubt that Google would roll out it's first internal device without making sure that it has optimized the battery and OS to it's utmost limit. They know these devices will be highly scrutinized. They know what they are doing..

The 7+ has a 2900mah battery and lasts at least 2 hours longer than my past LG phones with 3000mah batteries while straight gaming. I wonder how long the pixel goes for!?!?

I think you're both overestimating the difference between a 1080p and 1440p screens when it comes to power consumption.

Anyone else hate how these contests drive people to make an account and post 3 gibberish posts a day for entries?

Apples to oranges.

I think you're underestimating the difference between 1080 and 1440 when it comes to power consumption.

The OP3 and HTC 10 have similar battery life. I know it's not apples to apples.

I also owned a Note 7 and running it at 1080p only yielded like +20 to +30 minutes delta in battery life.

Yes it matters, but when we're talking about 5 hours, 20 minutes is pretty much variance (Were you outside or inside? Were you using speakers or headphones? Were you on a website that runs scripts or not).

In other words, the variance in use case makes the 1080p screen savings moot for any real comparison.

For a smartphone, battery life should be the most important feature. What good are amazing specs when the phone dies in half a day? Those looking for great battery life, there are much better options like Moto Z Play, Xperia X Compact,

I wouldn't say the most important feature; but rather, battery life should meet a mandatory minimum.

Having three day battery life over two day battery life for instance doesn't add anything to the experience.
