[THEME] NewEraGFx 3.1a for EVO-Deck & CM7[May 15 2011]

This is my very first theme so go easy on me. I have a lot of work to do but i thought i would release what i have for now and see what you all have to say.

I will be posting updates regularly so if you have a request or suggestion, feel free to post it and I will try my best to apply it to the latest build.

To install the flashable theme app

1. Download the flashable Theme to your SD card
2. Boot into recovery
3. Format cache & dalvik cache
4. Flash the theme in recovery and reboot
5. Go to Theme Manager to apply the Theme

To install the theme APK only!

1. Download the Theme to your SD card
2. Browse for the Theme with your file explorer app
3. Install the theme
4. Go to Theme Manager to apply the Theme

To apply the LauncherPro Theme:

1. Download the Theme to your SD card
2. Extract the folder to the root of your SD card
3. In Android click the Menu button and click Preferences
4. Select Appearance Settings
5. Select Dock Background and select Custom
6. Browse for the Dock PNG file you extracted
7. Note: you wont see the Dock change untill you reboot or force restart LauncherPro
8. To apply the custom Icons, Long press each icon you wish to change and select, Change Icon>Custom icon>browse for the desired icons you wish to use.
9. Browse for the Dock PNG file you extracted

UPDATE: 3.1a has 2 versions, one is flashable that includes fonts, bootscreen and Theme apk for theme manager.

New status bar
New icons
Changed a few things in the dialer

Change Log for 3.0:
Changed the notification background to blue transparent
Updated a few icons
Optimized lots of PNG files
New shades of colors and cleaner popup windows
Other minor tweaks

Change Log for 1.2:
Changed the notification background to semi transparent
Changed some icons
Cleaned up some PNG's
Changed some colors and buttons
Other minor fixes.

Tested on the following roms:
EVO-Deck 1.0 2.3.3
EVO-Deck 1.1 2.3.4
CM7 2.3.4 Nightly #72

This looks really nice! I am still very leery of AOSP ROMs though, becasue the GPS never works and I get sick of having to flash into a Sense ROM to run the fix, the flash back to the AOSP ROM. Can you confirm that the GPS is working in the ROM? This is really the only thing holding me back from flashing.

Just noticed that his is a Theme, not a ROM! Guess I need to read a little better before posting. Anyway, can this theme apk be loaded on any ROM?

The apk only works on 2.3.3 roms that have the Theme Manager APK installed.

On another note, I ran the GPS fix one time and been fine ever since. I only run 2.3.3 or 2.3.4 roms on my EVO and havnt had to fix gps ever since. If i flash back to a Sense 2.2 rom then i would have to fix the gps.

Cool, thanks. I am currently running the 2.3.3 Sense ROM and everything is working great and I get all the goodies that Sens offers too!

So, is the apk you posted the theme manager or is the theme manager separate?

Its separete, this wont work on sense roms, I have to make one foe sense.

how do I install the launcher pro stuff??

When I installed the theme, the power pull down in CM7(I am using CM7 Stable) is gone with your theme and other themes after I installed this theme.

When I installed the theme, the power pull down in CM7(I am using CM7 Stable) is gone with your theme and other themes after I installed this theme.

You need to reboot after applying any theme. To apply launcher pro you extract the rar file to your SD card, then click menu, preferences, appearance settings, change the dock appearance by choosing custom and browse for the folder you extracted. To change the icons, just long press each one and broswe for those.

You are only wiping the cache. No data is deleted, wiping cache is to insure that the theme installs properly without errors.
