Yesterday my music started skipping when the screen was off. I thought it was a CPU issue so I opened AID64 and saw my CPU temp was 32C and usage was over 30% while my CPU core clocks were changing rapidly from 200MHz to 1600MHz like a see-saw. I did some digging and also found supersu was not installing SU binary for some reason. I googled the message and tried flashing CWM recovery and used it to install SuperSU.zip, re-rooting, even flashed my stock rom again and nothing worked - until I came here. 
Took BALA's advice and tried King Root and BOOM! Got root back and my music no longer skips when screen is off, not to mention King Root as some great additional features.
Do I still need SuperSU with King Root installed, and what causes SuperSU to not allow SU binary to be installed out of the blue? The last app I installed was Purify, but music still skipped when I cleared the cache, uninstalled it and restarted my phone.

the best method to root or to unroot is by using king root
install it from "www.kingroot.net/wap/"
