This is will a different design. Basically a Mate XT tri fold but without the third screen. If it folds like the picture, its one less screen and selfie cam. Pack it with a mid range processor, camera, 1080p 60hz IPS screen, plastic build to reduce costs. With these cuts is an affordable folding phone achievable? Chinese brands already sell 6.8" 120z, helio G range CPU, 128gb storage slab phones for like $70. Samsung, Google wont make it but Chinese OEMs could.. Folds are the premium segment profit center but considering how cutthroat competition is in China and how they've brought down costs in wearables, audio etc its possible.
The folding screen bend being exposed outside is an issue but Mate XTs have held up fine. If the outside screen bend is too failure prone, then a normal fold design with mid range specs will still be good for competition.
