Things I need to know before I buy

Hey everyone!

ATT has the watch for a lot less than VZW and I attempted to see if VZW would budge on price and the only deal they could give me was $299 with a 2 year contract plus $5 a month. Firstly, should I take that deal?

Secondly, with a second number with the watch, will all normal calls to my phone go through the watch as well?

Third I've seen some questions flying around about GPS and whether or not it will work with or without a sim card. What's the truth about this? Will it work through the phone or does it need a Sim card?

Anyone that knows let me know and let me know if I should take the deal or not.

Thanks!!

Idk about the whole two year contract thing. For a smartwatch? I'd just buy outright. And if you ever want to use it as standalone you need to get it from your carrier. As long as call forwarding is active and you are not on bluetooth they will forward. If you are in bluetooth range it will ring just as any bluetooth would.

I would like to get it outright but VZW has it for a whopping $399 vs ATT's comfortable $299 out of contract. That's my dilema. I'd like to buy outright but $399 is way too much. $299 was an option to keep the price down. Reesh11 do you use the Sim or just as standalone?

I use both. See if you can find out online cheaper in a few days so you can price match.

Right but I think its only for att. So the Sim is ONLY for calling and has nothing to do with GPS?

I tried this today at Verizon what they can do Is charge you the selling price and credit your account for the difference in price try that.

Ahmad12 so what price did you get for? Did you sign a 2 yar agreement? Anyone know the Gps answer? That will make or break for me. I'd rather GPS work when tethered to my phone vs needing a Sim.

I got the 2 year contract with $5 plan on T-Mobile with 0 down As for the GPS what do you want me to test?

I bought outright from big red today for a whopping $424 with tax. No contract and I'm trying Sim for 1 month at $5. Just wanted to know if GPS requires Sim or not.
