Things I wish I had or want back on my 10....

On both my M7 and M8 I had a Usage manager app that came with the phone. It was a little thing, but I used it more often than I thought. It was just called "USAGE MANAGER", and it could set a data limit alert, check my battery usage, etc. I have tried to find it, and to no avail. I don't know if it was an HTC app or an AT&T one since the app did not have that information available. Being very cautious about what gets installed on my phone I want THAT app. It took me several days before I would install Evernote, Kindle, Linkedin, and some others. I also would love the look and feel of the old HTC messaging app back if possible.

If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Also what apps are missing from the M10 that you wish were back?

Settings > more > data usage

What other software/apps are missing that you would like to see back? Perhaps Gallery? Something else?

Gallery and individualized apps for Wifi, Data, BT and Airplane mode.

EDIT: Notification sound being a separate volume. I keep my ring high and my texts low at work.

Separate volume control definitely. I do miss Gallery and had to download a movie player.

I like how Google Photos automatically separates my photos by dog...truck...etc. Talking about less work for me.

I love the categorizing photo does too...

I don't get why ppl don't like photos, I think it's just bc it's different and not as simple as the HTC gallery.... But a lot of ppl don't realize u don't have to use all the extra stuff that photos do, u can just use it as a local photo gallery and don't have it sync with Google

Photos would be acceptable if I could get it to automatically download my photos. Sometimes I take 100 photos a day or more. It is annoying to tic off every photo to upload them to google photos. Never mind having to remember to do so. I love this phone but the biggest flaw is that they left off the gallery.

it does automatically upload your photos... you just have to set it up to do it... yeah it would annoy me too if I had to back up all my photos manually... it backs up photos and videos automatically

How can we get HTC to enable the chip? The FCC is requiring all US carriers to enable the FM chip for FM radio.

-Auto rotate was more fluid on my m8 and I liked having it as one of my navigation buttons which is no longer available.
-Getting my music and videos/movies on my 10 has been a major pain, albeit I'm beginning to think it's just a crap sd card.
-Speakers are slightly louder but I like having both front speakers of the m8
-Camera is more than adequate for my purposes
-Overall I'm happy with my upgrade and would continue to recommend htc products

Have you tried using speakerboost? I know u aren't saying you have a problem with the speaker but sometime videos online are low even with the volume all the way up and speakerboost when enable actually makes it noticeably louder

Yea I've used speakerboost before, the speakers are fine.. I actually compared it head to head with my m8 and it won (for loudness) , it just sounds a little different /better to me with front speakers rather than downward (bottom speaker) like on the 10.
