Think I'm going to keep it.

I've had V20 for a week now, initially intending to keep it for two weeks then move on to the Pixel XL. However, I find myself falling in love with this device. Just curious if I'm the only one feeling this way.

Ask previous or current Nexus 6P owners how their battery is holding up... I've heard it's been terrible especially after the Nougget update. Also, after 2 years, Google will no longer support their devices (no more updates). The LG V20 nailed it and has way more to offer than the Pixel XL. I never enjoyed the Google line of smartphones, I feel like it's too "basic". Not saying it's a bad phone, just not intrigued by it.

I never had any real doubt about keeping it and I never had any intention of going Pixel. Google killed it for me because they took everything they were from Nexus and threw it out the window to link up with Verizon. I thought the Nexus 6P was a fine piece of equipment and that they should have continued that line instead of jumping to HTC and building an Iphone clone. The only gain they made going with Verizon for me was supporting a couple of Verizon features but other than that it just isn't for me. I have to have removable storage. A non removable battery I could possibly get by with but I don't want to. The DAC is an added bonus. I like everything about this phone.

I was burned out on two bad pixel phones and that halo garbage happening with the photos. Plus 32 GB? Forget it.

Until reading this thread I was feeling a bit guilty liking the V20 over the Pixel and thought maybe I'd been in the LG system for too long. I feel better now, love this phone!
Never feel that way. LG had been putting out good and slept on products for awhile now

Initially I pre-ordered the Pixel Xl 128gb on Verizon to replace my Note 7, but the order got delayed. By then the V20 showed up on Verizon's site and I was able to get one. So glad it worked out this way. I've really found the V20 to be a fantastic phone.

For me, the DAC is a huge plus. Absolutely love it with my Oppo PM-3s.

Bluetooth APT-x HD support is another benefit that hasn't been discussed much. As more headphones roll out with support it will be cool to have that option to use too.

I also love that I can make use of my 256gb Note 7 pre-order bonus SD card. Happily filling it with music, audio books, movies, and photos.

I didn't realize it had an IR blaster until after I got it. Nice bonus and works great.

Knowing I can pop in a new battery down the road once the original starts to loose some capacity.

I'm off to Cape Town South Africa this weekend, so should have a chance to give the camera and video capabilities a thorough workout, but so far have found them to work well.

I see the Note 7 fall as a blessing to the LG V20 because not very many would have chosen this phone over it if not for the recall, and now many Note 7 refugees (Yeah I need to patent that phrase lol) are truly appreciating LG's devotion to quality over quantity in their phones. While I do miss a lot of aspects of The Samsung Notes vision of android I'm finding the mindset to appreciate more of LG's vision every day whereas I've known Samsung's vision for so long I've found that I've seen it as the Pinnacle for Android for so long that I've forgotten the vision of android as a whole and fell into the ecosystem that Samsung had become similar to Apple 🍎, Kudos to LG for making such a great phone, they should send Samsung a fruit basket or a wreath for their loss of the Note 7 at the least, next year's phone releases from Samsung and LG are gonna be like the Mayweather Paccio fight I'm pretty sure of that lol 😁.
I would have went to the 7 from my 4

I was one of those Note 7 refugees (Love that term!), but I actually had a yearning to get the V20 even when I had the Note 7. I know, blasphemy, but hey, I knew greatness when I saw it, and I'm happy to say, I wasn't wrong.
