Think I'm screwed

So I was running Rubix, then flashed the leaked Rooted version of GB(like any other ROM) with no issues and had used it for a day. Wanted to go back to Rubix, and followed the same process only to have the phone reboot to the new Motorola logo and stay there. I cant get into recovery. I get to bootloader, says Battery ok, ok to program, transfer mode usb, but cant get RSD to see my phone to SBF. WTF did I just do to my phone. Did I brick it, what should I try. Thanks.

Are you running RSD as administrator? Are you sure its not seeing it?

What version of RSD Lite are you using? I just sbf'd the .340 file using RSD Lite 4.9 on my X 2 times today with no problem.

Do you have the latest and proper Moto USB drivers installed on your computer?

I know this might not help you because you might not have access, but I spent like 6 hours trying to get RSDLite to work and finally gave up. I decided to use Linux and it took like 8 minutes with zero headache. Even if you've never used it before, there are some really good instructions here: Complete Droid X .sbf Flashing Guide

It conveniently includes Linux installation instructions as well. Honestly, I've been using Ubuntu for doing my phone things ever since, but I have some experience with Linux so I was pretty comfortable with it. It's just a suggestion though

Did you hard reset after install, after sbf it usually requires you to enter recovery mode and do a format/wipe. Power off and press Home and Power and format/reset.

Power Device Off First.....



1. Hold Home Button and press power

2. Screen will show a Android with a triangle with astrick

3. Let Go of Home Button and Power

4. Press Search Button (Far Left Button)

5. A blue menu will show at top of page, scroll to Format Device

6. Select Yes to verify

7. Allow format to complete (Information at bottom of page will go through a few steps)

8. Once Format is complete Blue Menu will show at top again, select Reboot


Note: Use volume up and down to select opinion and use camera button as Enter,,,

Sorry. Have been away from any computers for the last half of the day. So yes, I am the admin on the computer and I have been using RSD 4.7. The last time I used it was to get ready for 2.2, but it worked then. As far as I know I have all the drivers, but how can I double check. Which SBF should I use?

Thanks to everyone that replied. I was a dumbass and didnt double check that Administrator was actually checked under properties. I actually had .34 SBF just thought that maybe it was part of my problem hence the question about which one. Regardless, the X is back up and running. Now back to root. And then the question of whether to get back to Rubix or wait for the official GB. What do you think?

The GB leak is running so great for me I wouldn't wait on the official. I had so much confidence in it I actually put it on the misses X, now that's saying something
