I was looking at trading my s10e for a s20 fe but have seen multiple reports of touch screen issues. For the people having those issue did the 3rd and newest update fix the problem? Any feedback would be great, thanks!

I personally haven't been affected by this.. Or rather - my daily use doesn't trigger that particular bug. I noticed some over sensativity out of the box (particularly, apps would move on the home page when I was just trying to swipe over). But that seems mitigated.

Not sure on the other issues- I never experienced anything worse.

No issues for me. Samsung did push out an update to address that, but I never experienced the problem prior in my use of the device.

Thank you so far for the feedback, I'm still on decided with all the people reporting the issue.

How long ago did you get the new update and how bad was the issue before it?
Got it October 29th. It was most annoying when trying to expand a notification from the pull down screen, usually had to to try multiple times. Everyone once in awhile it wouldn't work at all. Other time I noticed it was try to crop a screenshot. Engaging the white lines to drag for cropping I would need to do it a few times before it took.

Never had issues with screen. I think it is best value for money. If you use Dex, knox folder, edge panel and split screen multi tasking, you will enjoy this phone a lot.

I use most of those things currently

I haven't heard that the S20FE was having touchscreen issues. Hopefully other users will chime in soon and will let you know what they are experiencing!

I was reading online that people were still having issues after the update that's why I was asking

I have not gotten the Nov security update yet so I can't comment on that. Here is my experience so far:

- initially I would sometimes get crazy, continual ghost touches. Turned down the sensitivity and got the first update and that went away.
- subsequently everything was great for a couple weeks. I could do the touch test from the xda-developers forum and see the "issue" with the N-shaped traces, but it did not affect me in real life usage.
- Recently, I occasionally get dead zones. Tends to be near the bottom of the screen (for example, I can type some letters but not others). Usually if I just lock the screen and unlock it it starts working normally again (sometimes have to repeat this one or more times).
- less frequently I have had interrupted swipes. For example when swipe typing, my swipes would register as multiple short swipes instead of longer ones. Again, locking and unlocking eventually makes it stop.

The only issue I had with the touchscreen was that it was laggy when it came to things like dragging icons on the homepage. I'd hold, move my finger, and the icon wouldn't come with me.

That's how it was out of box. It doesn't seem to do that anymore, I assume because of the update.

Also, I turn off animations in developer options. I wonder if that helped me see fewer of the issues.
