Thinking About Returning My HTC One (for iPhone)

Speaking from an Android point of view it takes setup... It can be awesome but will require setup and customization such as using 3rd party apps. If you don't want to do that and just want the phone to work go with iPhone. The HTC One will work but requires you setting things up to get exactly what you want from your phone.

Sent from my Sprint S3 using AC forums.

I agree with @Almeuit. Apple products have always been the nice Porsche that you just want to buy in automatic and look good driving. The Mustang (or Civic or whatever) is like Android where you like to tinker and play with the suspension and setup to get it to work just the way you want :) But since ICS and JB hit, Android phones have been getting closer and closer to that Porsche style, you just need to find the model that caters to a majority of your wants and needs then tweak it a bit more.

this is very helpful, thanks.
I just turned off imessage on all my devices, that seems to have worked, though I'm not sure if iPhone users have to manually send the message as text, not iMessage.

I don't understand this iMessage issue you are having. I'm coming from an iPhone and have many friends with iPhones that txt me and i don't have any issues getting them. I didn't turn anything off nor did my friends, so i'm a bit confused with your issue.

It's on the apple side I think. While waiting for my One, I switched between my iPhone 4 and Nexus 4 every few days, some txt would go to the iPhone even after I had the sim out and in the Nexus, it was weird. After I sent the person a txt from the N4 that fixed it (till I popped back on the iphone). Or it was just a server refresh on Apple side. It sorted itself out eventually. Plus Apple has been having iMessage issues this month on and off.

I came from iphone 5 to HTC One.........what you need to do is turn on your iphone while it is connected to wifi or put a active sim in it, then go to settings for messages and turn of imessage. I have done this and tested it and it fixes the problem (wife has iphone).........edit-looks like you did this...
