Thinking about switching from iPhone to Note 9. Should I wait?!?

Been looking to make the change to the Note 9. As much as I love the simplicity of the iPhone, I really like the allure of going back to Android and the customization. Plus, I’m a note taker and the s-pen would get it’s work! All that said, I’m tied in to the Apple ecosystem pretty good. I know I can get Apple Music on Android, and that’s probably my biggest “want”. Everything else I’m pretty flexible on. My most used apps are probably Microsoft related (Teams and Outlook), social media, travel (Delta and hotel apps), streaming (Netflix, Directvnow) and other minimal stuff that Android has.

I know I’ll have all of my pics and videos saved in iCloud. My only real “issue” is when I share a video with an android phone from iPhone, the integrity of the video does not transfer. Not a major ordeal, but just one that is bothersome.

All that said, is there anything I’m really missing from jumping ecosystems?!?

And finally, do I really NEED to wait for the Note 10?!? I’m more of a work related power user along with a picture and video taker. The next features and power would have little effect on me.

And REALLY lastly, is the watch issue. LOVE my Apple Watch. I can probably sell it or trade it at Best Buy and get credit towards either the galaxy watch or their sport related watch. Have become so used to it that I really want to have one. So there’s that! Lol!

Love the forum and look forward to any feedback and input. Thanks!

I have an N9 for work, but for notes purposes, I use iPad-> Goodnotes (apple pen).

I also have X paired with watch 4 (personal use). I use it for texting, calls, and some iOS things.

N9 is a heck of a phone switching to android. N10 obviously will be $$$$. Running both iOS and android daily, i can do some things easier on the iOS, airdrop, facetime, control apple tv.

N9, use remote to my other samsung tv, spay, spen, amazing camera (+gcam), multi-tasking, apks for amazing apps, AUDIO Jack, usb c....... we can go all day.

Samsung watch obviously works great with it. Sleep monitor is included, that i had to buy the app on iOS. My opinion is the vibration on the gear s3 is much more stronger than watch 4s prominent. Gazillion watch faces.

This is something that goes beyond just simple pros and cons. If you can swing it, have both =) Good luck!

There is always going to be some new gadget "just around the corner."

The Note 9 is a great phone. Just for perspective I stuck with a Note 4 for 5 years. It took the big wow of the Note 9 to win me over. Still play with my Note 4 occasionally using it as a customization sandbox.
