It does! Go back to the store. Click options, Display, then Home Touch Buttons, press Button Combination and there is one for Notifications. Simply add it to your Home Touch Buttons by dragging it to the Home Touch Button Bar. Pretty easy to do.
I have had mine for 1 month. The OTA from 10B to 11C wasn't friendly. The Video camera crashed when Zooming and if your a left-ear talker the microphone was problematic. People would say the were losing me if I moved the phone away from my mouth. This weeks 12B fixed both and added Advanced Calling 1.0 which works great if talking to another with AC 1.0. Not so well if they don't have it. I turned it off. It is free but works like late Alpha or an early Beta.
I have always used NOVA Launcher Prime. In my opinion it's just what this device needs. Speed is excellent as is battery life. I did enable Developer Options and disabled all Animations. Not necessary maybe, your call.
Stock you can still disable the bloatware using the Application manager.
Overall the best device I have had or used. Try it if you're Verizon you can trade it back for 14 days.
