Thinking of Jumping from iPhone 7 to Pixel 2. I have some questions.

And let me say this, iMessage or no iMessage, the craptastic "update" that is iOS 11 might have me using my Android device exclusively soon. I've never seen an update offer such an incremental upgrade, while annihilating battery life, as I've experienced with iOS 11. And it still cannot do some of the most basic tasks as Android. Aggravating.

Dang that bad? Normally Apple is on point w/ updates.

Brutal. Six iOS devices in our family, all of which have had battery life destroyed after updating to iOS 11.

Dang! I've read about a lot of problems on iMore and a couple of other sites with 11. Man, I'm sure they'll get things straightened out, but that's so unlike Apple. I mean, Jobs has been gone now, what, six years..? Maybe the loss of his attention to detail/discipline really is starting to finally show...

Of course when you bring up the battery life issues over on iMore, you get branded a heretic, or accused of a placebo effect. (Typical fanboism, as stoked by iMore's supreme leader over there.) I'm sure they'll get it together as well with regards to the battery life on iOS 11, but for now, it's bad.

iOS 11 is killing my battery and my girlfriend's too. Thanks everyone for your input on here! I've made the decision to switch and am attempting to order a Pixel 2 today. I say attempting, I'm having an issue with the Google Store. I want to do the payment plan. I got the "we can not provide an answer on financing" message that means I wasn't approved. My credit is fine though. Out of curiosity I tried to order through Google Fi(they use the same bank) and they approved me just fine. I'm tempted to just order the phone through Google Fi, but I want to keep my T-Mobile service. Is that possible? I could just suspend my Google Fi service and keep making the payments while using my T-Mobile sim in the phone?

I hear it's hard for a battery to hold a charge while it's expanding...:D

My wife has a Iphone 7+ and an Apple Watch 2, and there is nothing that I can see that her watch can do that my Huawei watch cannot other than go swimming. At least the way we use them. She actually likes my watch better when it comes to function, but the Apple Watch looks better on a women's wrist than my Huawei does.

Hey Sangs, I moved back over to iOS 5 months ago and was so happy I did...Until the iOS honeymoon wore off. First off, iOS 11 degraded my battery life. The "new features" on iOS 11 are pretty featureless to me. I hate the control center, hate the lock screen background behind my notification center, and I am so sick of a crappy LCD display.

I refuse to get the X, it's overpriced and in my opinion ugly. The horns are moronic and no touch id is a deal breaker for me. My Apple watch has sucked since I updated that as well and just getting so tired of using a phone that feels like I'm still stuck in 2014.

The pixel is just as smooth as iOS but I mainly returned to apple for FaceTime and iMessage which I know I will miss. Who wants "Animojis" on a 2017 apple device? What a new improvement that is for a cell phone in today's day and age!
