Hi everyone,

First of all i want to say sorry for my poor english as i'm french canadian and not perfectly bilingual.

I have a iPhone 5S 16GB and i'm tired about the small screen, i love to see how you can personalize a phone with Android and i'm thinking of switching for an HTC One M8 but i have a couple of questions since i never used android before.

I think i'm a bit afraid because everyone in my family use Apple products (iPhone/iPad for my mom, iPhone/iPad for my dad, iPhone for my wife, iPod for my daughter and son + a lot of my friends use iPhone/iPad too), so it very easily to communicate, especially with iMessage. I know i can communicate with SMS on iPhone but how Whatsapp works if i installed it on iPod of my kids ?

My other concern is about compatibility with Apple products, i use a iMac and a Apple TV. It is easily to plug and use android phones with iMac ? And about the Apple TV, do you know if a app exists to replace "Remote" on iPhone ?

I'm sorry for all my questions but i want to be sure before i make a move.

Thanks !

I recently switched from an iPhone 5S to the M8 after so many years using only Apple products. I am in a similar situation as you, all of my family and friends use primarily Macs and/or iOS devices..
Whatsapp is available on iOS too, and you just need to register your mobile phone number with it and then you can chat with your friends. It's very easy and works well.
I also have an AppleTV, and I searched yesterday about Remote apps. There is one, but I don't know how good it is:https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...eday.appletvinfraredremotefree&token=67tcS9f6

There is also an Airplay app, but I wouldn't be expecting the same level of integration, as with iOS devices:

I think you might be interested to have a look at 1-2 of my threads, where I posted about my experience, coming from an iPhone. I was that close in going back, but I decided not to...My main issue is with Video Calling apps. Hangouts is ok, Skype sucks big time and there is nothing else that I could use with my friends..at least I have my Macs and use iChat and Facetime...

Thanks for your answer ! I don't use FaceTime so it's not a problem for me.

I will take a look of your threads !

Thanks again.
