Thinking of Switching from Note 3 to Nexus 5

Battery life is decent, not great... However it's on pay with every other smartphone I've owned (lumia 1020, 920, S3, iPhone 5S, Samsung Focus). Mid use easily gets me through the day, heavy use would get me through most of a day.

Coming from a Lumia advocate, the camera is much better than I read online prior to getting this device... And my wife and peers all agree. It is able to capture great detail and it's very quick, I have not had any blur moments surprisingly unlike the Lumia series which it happens way to frequently.

I have a Nexus 5 since 7 months and i am selling my phone. Gave me a lot of problems. Call quality is bad. I am not clearly audible to people on the other end. Everybody complains. Battery not so good, basically not worth the money you pay. My sincere advice is do not buy Nexus 5.:'(

I got none of those problems. "Everybody complains"? Rather not.
There are people who seem to have problems with battery life. I am not one of those.

I am using smartphones since Treo and Compaq XDA. Last smartphones I owned were iPhones, Pre+ and Pre3, a Samsung GS3 and now the Nexus 5 ... I must say, with the exception of the Pres (still in love with WebOS), the Nexus 5 is the best concerning speed and stability.
And the batterylife, while being ok in comparison with others, is WAY better than it was on my Samsung Galaxy S3.

Hard usage gets me over 10 hours straight.
Normal usage gets me over one and a halve day
Light usage gives me even more.

That's enough for me. One of the best phones I ever had.
