Can anyone advise how ATT treats unlocked devices, more specifically, the Pixel line. Possibly porting over and my main phone is an unlocked P3XL. Will I get wifi calling, volte with ATT like I have know on T-Mobile??

Hi Don, yeah everything works same on Att with wifi calling on the pixel , Samsung unlocked it doesn't.

Great, thanks for the reply. Might be moving over from T-Mobile to AT&T tomorrow after the Pixel 4 announcement.

Is Att selling it now ?

Not yet but I’ve seen articles from various android sites claiming AT&T will sell it as of tomorrow. If they do and depending on what google/ATT offers for P3XL trade ins, I might get it from them once I port over. Just don’t want any bloat on my phone so I might be getting it from Google anyways

Yeah I usually get unlocked , but yeah no worries everything works with Att.

Why the swap from T-Mobile? Just curious. You have normally been a voice of positivity for them.

Yeah, the main reason is wife and daughter want new iPhones, even with tier one credit I have to leave almost $1000 down for both phones because of TMobile’s ridiculous down payment requirement plus taxes. It’s really the only reason. I might look into Apples credit program as well

Ah yep makes sense. T-Mobile is the worst for that. Not sure why they want that much down.

Yeah, everyone else offers a zero down requirement as long as you have good credit which I do but it is what it is.

I don't get it why T-Mobile does that. I didn't have to make any down payment at Verizon for my S10+, which isn't a cheap phone. They only charged me an activation fee.

Make sure you mention that to a TMobile company store manager - as a "parting gift". It might get pushed up the food chain. (I know that my area manager would have howled if a customer had left because of that. [And she just happened to be friends with the CEO.])

So, in general, is it worth switching over from T-Mobile to AT&T? T-Mobile seems to have the better prices on their unlimited plans, but seriously thinking of switching since they have no deals on phone upgrades! Not through them directly, and their phones aren't sold through BEST BUY or any other vendor that'd be doing Black Friday promotions. And all of T-Mobile promotions require a new line of service!
AT&T is currently running a great port over your number and have a trade-in promotion... They're giving $1000 towards and iPhone and $1250 towards the Samsung Note 10... It's very tempting, but than we'd lose Netflix and T-Mobile Tuesdays promotions...
Any suggestions?
