Thinking of switching to the OnePlus 5t

I currently own the smaller original Pixel and have no issues with it however part of me is in the no bezel trend. Unfortunately the Pixel 2 XL is out of my budget. Would switching to the OnePlus 5t actually be a downgrade? If so, in what aspect besides camera quality (which isn't that important to me anymore as I don't take many pictures). As comfortable as the Pixel is size wise I have rather large hands and looking to get a bigger phone. Any thoughts?

Not a downgrade, but something to be aware of - the One Plus is not water resistant. The Pixel is also not water resistant, so you're not losing it from having it, but the new pixels do have that.

I came from a 3t to pixel XL. side grade I know. I was a long time Nexus fan, owner everyone since the Nexus s. Went 3t last year due to price of pixel. Software support is no where as good as Google. hated being behind on updates. picked up a used xl and haven't been this happy since the 6p.

if it were me...I wouldn't

I'd probably keep the Pixel. The 5T should have the edge in overall performance but you'll have to deal with not getting security patches each month and less major updates. OnePlus is also known for customer service issues.

I truly don't think it'll be a downgrade. They don't call the OnePlus line "flagship killers" for nothing! The OnePlus 5T has awesome specs; and I'm sure you'll be able to find one at a great price, especially since tomorrow (or today, depending on your time zone) is Cyber Monday!

The 5T gets good reviews, and has a decent camera. The only thing you'll lose are the security updates.
