I missed the Samsung promo by one day, but Verizon told me they would honor it. After I purchased s8, I found I could not get promo. My phone I traded in is gone, att says I need a compatible phone to switch. Everyone says Verizon is better. Need feedback

Verizon just offered me to reduce one line to 12.00 from 20.00 for one year. They also said they will waive the 30.00 activation fee for me to upgrade again. I was on chat with AT&T yesterday and they said they would also waive the activation fee.

I decided to purchase a gophone to test their coverage in my area. If it works out well, I will switch from verizon. So far I have not had any issues, I will be testing today some rual areas I travel from time to time.

I'm confused... Are you wanting to switch from Verizon to ATT? Or, from ATT to Verizon? Also, what kind of feedback do you want from this forum?

Sorry I confused you. I am thinking of switching from Verizon to ATT. I know coverage is based on area, just wanted feedback if people were happy with ATT service and if anyone had issues with coverage.

Buying a Gophone and testing out the area was a good idea, because as you've stated coverage is highly dependent on your location. I've been using ATT for about 5 years now in the Seattle area and it has been working great for me. Good voice and data coverage, with excellent data speed. I've also taken several 2 week road trips all along the West and Southwest (Washington state, Oregon, Calif, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Idaho) and the cell-data coverage has been very good. I've also found customer service in their local stores and online has been excellent. The only negatives I've found is that their smartphones can be higher priced than the other carriers, and their unlimited data plans seem higher too.

Hello,
I recently purchased an iphone se for gophone account.
I ported by line from Verizon and planned to port the other two in July.
Well, I have been having second thoughts because of some spotty reception in certain areas.
Nothing too bad, but friends at work experienced the same and they are thinking of switching to Verizon.

After spending 1 1/2 hours with Verizon chat, and phone support, I don't think I would go back if they begged me.
What terrible support, would not offer me any specials to come back. Best they would do is add 50.00 to my account.

I switched to AT&T because Verizon sold me a promo offer that they could not honor because it expired the day before.
They would not give me back my iphone 6s plus, even though one day passed. Said it was gone.
I have not had any reason to use AT&T support, so I do not know if it would be similar.
Sorry for the long rant.

Go with the least expensive. Everyone has bad experiences with carriers, I wouldn't worry too much about anecdotal stories.

Verizon offered to pay me 90.00 in bill credits to return. That would cover restock fee and 1st month of plan paid.
Not sure what to do, where I live, verizon has better coverage. I was in mall today and had no bars, wife has verizon and was able to make a call. Also went up north today and had several ded spots and verizon phone showed 2 bars.
