I currently use the Nova Prime launcher on my GS7. Based upon limited information & knowledge, it would appear that the TouchWiz footprint is lighter on the GS8.

Is anyone planning to use a launcher? If so, which one and why?

Nova is what I use on my S7. Will try and use the s8 stock. I like what I've seen on the demo phones in store.

I've used Nova for years, and have now discovered KLWP which is amazing. Really helps you to customize your phone.

This is the first phone I'm actually giving consideration to using the stock launcher

I too am intrigued by the possibility of using the stock launcher. Having used the Nova Prime launcher on both my GS6 & GS7, the carousel feature may have to be disabled for Bixby or the edge functionality?

Untill TouchWiz gets gestures I will stay with NOVA. I like the animations NOVA provides, use of third party icons not just what is on Samsung's store.

I can't imagine a smartphone without Nova Launcher . I think Samsung should buy Tesla coil software and install Nova Launcher on all their phones

It's rare for me to stay stock even if I do like it, the closest is hTc.

Lasted for a few days but eventually I switch to Nova Prime. Main reason is because of the GESTURES.

im using s8 launcher on the edge now and bixby which both are not fully fluid. thats on the edge. this is not a joke or rooted.

Same here! I've used and loved Nova on every phone for quite awhile. I'm really hoping the s8 can change that. I love Nova launcher but I want to keep my phone as barebones and pure as I can

I used the stock launcher on the Note 7, with the material dark theme to give me that natural Android look. On my V20, I gave up on the stock lg launcher within a few days in favor of Nova Prime. I hope to keep stock on the S8, but I've for Nova at the ready.

Locking the desktop down is important, helps unintended rearranging and deleting of the icons and widgets. If their Home launcher doesn't have that, then it's Nova all the way.

That, plus the fact that I love renaming the shortcuts.
