Usually I always buy the best flagships. I have iphone 12, S21, S20fe, etc. I bought one of these thru Google fi and I am totally pleased and blown away by the ruggedness and usefulness of the 5a. At first I was going to send it back but on using it for a couple weeks, I am sold!
I know people will say just wait for the 6, but honestly this 5a rocks.
Hope all of you are enjoying it as much as I am!
Just a note about battery life....apple take notice, it is fantastic!

Glad to hear it!! Just ordered mine today. I've had my 3a xl for 2 years now and it's been a great phone but time for an upgrade!!

Glad to hear you love it! I absolutely love my 5A and that's after using a 4A that I swore I would keep forever. The 5A just adds even better battery life and water resistance plus bigger screen. If I had to nitpick the only thing missing is a 90hz refresh rate but that's not a dealbreaker. Frankly I feel for a midrange device it definitely performs like a flagship! With phone prices creeping higher and higher I'm more about this budget line!

It's unfortunate Google did not release the 5A in more markets and also did a poor job at advertising it! I feel it just got looked over by many. :(

Enjoying my 5a too - meets all my needs - considering not getting a 6.

I'm so glad you are loving it! I too am loving my Pixel 5. Who says you need a flagship phone to have a flagship experience? I'd say our phones have lots of flagship specs at an excellent value! Enjoy!

I love love love mine although the battery full charge forecast is going down fairly quickly from 1 day 18 hours when I first received it to now 1 day 1 hour. Battery stats says apps operating normally but I'm a little concerned at this trend in such a short amount of time.

I can understand your concerns, but I'd still give it a bit more time before worrying. How long have you had it? Maybe your device is still learning your usage.

I've had it for a few weeks now and I love it just curious about this observation that's all, thanks!

Hi Morty,

Yes, I did receive it on Saturday and got the phone all setup. It's nice, I like it, and it's a decent upgrade from my 3a xl. One of the reasons I purchased it is because I like stuff like the FR on the back, headphone jack etc. You never know when these things may become completely extinct! Good battery life so far, decent display, and cased it's actually a tad smaller I think then my 6" 3a xl. The only thing I don't like about it is that tends to run warmer then my 2 other Pixels when having to work alittle harder. Thanks for the follow up Morty.

I'm so glad you got it in Saturday and that you are loving it! I *totally* agree with you about the desire to have the back fingerprint sensor and things like the headphone jack! Those are must-haves for a lot of users! Odd that it tends to run a little warm. Does this happen with the case off, as well?

Of course! Glad you are happy with your Pixel! :)

When I initially powered it up I put it on the charger and at the same time restored a backup from my 3a xl. As a former overclocker from the late 90's I do understand stressing hardware generates heat. However this unit felt warmer then my 2XL and my 3a xl. I did freak out alittle as well as googling any heat issues with this unit. I did install CPU monitor and I'll keep an eye out on temps but things seem to have settled down, and it all seems OK right now. On the initial charge and setup it was pretty warm even without the case.

Morty you'll get a kick out of this. My wife's new P5a showed up last Sunday and she absolutely loves the phone. The 5a is one heck of a phone for the money. Now get this, her 5a replaced her Windows Nokia Icon 929. That Icon 929 phone was still working fine albeit a very short battery life. Her Icon was 7 years old!!!!
