this is bugging me. someone explain.

Today I was texting my girlfriend and she received a messge from me with exactly what I typed on my phone plus a message someone sent me three weeks ago that has been deleted since then. How did my phone do it. Its really bugging me.

Stock messaging app, or another app? Hope you don't have texts from more than one GF on your phone, deleted or not...
