I've been using Android for 11 years. About a dozen phones in that time. Transition was always problematic. Recently it's been better because it copied settings, programs etc, even wallpaper.
However the sticking point has always been program data. But this time almost all of my apps had their program data copied. Apps like Automatit Pro even copied all of the scripts across. I didn't have to save to a file and email that file to myself. Well, I did but it turned out that it wasn't necessary.
A couple of apps, like Nine and BeyondPod, didn't copy across but I was thrilled that many did.
