it is basically an incredible with a keyboard. i think it feels solid and has nice keyboard but, overall probably a bit outdated in the technology dept. i just got an incredible 2 from the incredible and couldnt be happier. i would go as far to say the incredible2 is the best 3G phone available right now from VZW. if you want state of the art, wait until the 3rd of nov for Nexus Prime/Droid Prime/Galaxy Nexus, whatever it is to be called. i will be getting it and giving the inc2 to wife.

I bought my Merge about 2 weeks ago from a 2nd tier Mall Verizon store in Douglasville, GA. I briefly owned a Samsung Admire from Metro PCS and can say that the Merge is vastly superior. Of course, I'm a newbie since my experience with Android is limited to the past 3 weeks. The store was offering a BOGO deal. Buy one Merge for $200 and get one free, with 2 yr contract of course.
It's strange that neither Verizon nor HTC list a merge for Verizon. I feel like I'm in uncharted territory.
If you have any questions about the Merge I would be happy to answer them if I can. :)

Online? I'd look at eBay. Make sure you get a Verizon branded model though. They do exist, and while you'll likely pay a bit more for one through eBay, you won't be stuck on contract again and/or use your upgrade if you have one.

I am an indirect agent for Verizon, through Cellular Sales. We do carry the Merge in our stores and I must say that it seems to be a decent midrange device. As far as I know it is not available through any corporate Verizon stores or on verizonwireless.com, but if you live in SW FL and would like to get your hands on one send me a message.

I bought a Verizon merge a month or so ago. Great keyboard and phone overall. Need to sell it though. If anyone's interested I'd much rather sell it to someone on the forum than go through ebay. Let me know if you're interested.
