This phone is the biggest

LOL, I didn't have too much trouble with mine. Certainly there were some hardware quality issues with it and software problems, but overall I'd say it was better than many others, but not as good as some. That said, the overall experience with HTC support and the weak radios were what ultimately made my decision to switch back to Samsung.

My Thunderbolt is two years old in just a few weeks. I only hope it will make it until I can get a Galaxy S4.

The Thunderbolt battery has been an embarrassment from day 1. Horrible, typically only allowing a few hours use without being connected to a charger. I would have it connected to a charger at my desk at work, in my car, and at home. Battery notwithstanding, the phone features, camera, and functionality were great.

Now the battery will often not last more than a few hours, even when I am only carrying it, and not using it. Recent new issues include the phone randomly shutting down several time a day, with the battery greatly reduced when it restarts. I am experiencing 3-5 second lags when using the phone normally.

I am so very very ready to move on from this paperweight.

Mine started rebooting a lot too, but only when driving. There still seems to be a radio/tower switching problem with the thunderbolt that causes the reboots. Now that it just sits in the garage as a music player, it doesn't reboot anymore. My biggest complaint with the T-bolt though was the radio flip flopping between 4G, 3G, and no signal. I kept hoping that HTC would fix that, but they never did. Some firmware was better than others, but it was always a problem.

Loved the Thunderbolt since day 1. Never understood why everybody hated it. Easy to root and overclocked like a boss. I undervolted it a ton to save the battery life, and did a memory allocation edit and it was lightning fast with awesome battery life. And kickstand!

It sounds like you need a new battery, have you ever replaced it? Also, when I owned my tbolt I had several spare batteries, that way I wasn't tied to the charger.
