This Guy or Girl is full of it I highly doubt he/she even has an Evo. 1st off what kind of dush would wait till day 32 to say I don't want this phone and not do it 2 days after you got it or even on day 30 to return it. 2nd My Itouch? big news flash, Red Flag that my friends is another Iphone lover in disguise. 3rd who in the right mine will start a thread like "this Phone Sucks" when in all reality if you had this phone you would of said "my phone" rather than "this phone" making it further more obvious that this guy or girl don't have an evo. I've had this phone since launch and I have to say I don't have any of those problems I have frosty Heidi and Frank podcasts that I listen to all the time and I never had a Problem with videos I want to see Iphone try to play AVI files without having to convert them first. Listen don't hate because it has been proven to beet the iphone 4 just take it for what it is and go back to your dumb phone fined an app that tickles your fanny and get out!!!!!!!!!

Not that it will help the OP, but streaming video on a train will do nothing but drain your battery since the signal is probably not very strong and the available bandwidth is not very high. Also, some sites will just not stream well even if you're on wifi. The video is not optimized for mobile devices.

I take a train to NYC twice a week and watch downloaded movies and TV shows on Rockplayer. Streaming on mobile runs into so many bottlenecks that it's not worth doing unless you have a fast, stable data connection. When I drive, I listen to podcasts the entire commute using Google Listen. The podcasts are downloaded automatically, so I don't have to worry about the stream being interrupted.

And get a spare battery -- I don't even really care about battery life anymore because I have spares when I need it. Turn on your GPS and set the screen to auto-brightness. Spend the entire weekend on the phone non-stop. Live a little. Extra battery = freedom.

The battery dies in four hours and I pay an extra $10 per month for 4G coverage that is not available in NYC

Describe very slow. If you talking about the (down)loading of video, it's not the phone dude, it's your connection. If I'm running on 4G or WiFi it's perfectly fine. Oh...and it's perfectly fine for podcasts, too.

Your battery dies in 4 hours because you're trying to download huge files on a crap connection, plain and simple. The worse your service is the worse your battery life. Dat's life.

With all due respect, for what reason would you think paying $10 a month for something you can't get was a good idea? Hell, you may as well have just stuck it in an envelope and sent it to me. I'd given you the same thing Sprint does for your efforts. Nothing.

Your iTouch was better for what? Your thread is titled "This Phone Sucks". Yeah, I suppose an iTouch WOULD be better for you because your complaints have nothing to do with its telephony capabilities.

Actually there is 4G in parts of NYC, especially on the commute from the LIRR (if you switch on after Jamaica you will get signal).

Obviously you won't get it while the train is underwater so I'm wondering why you don't just download things at home, copy them to the sd card for your commute.

But hey Evos are in short supply so if you want to put it on ebay I'm sure you'll get a few bucks for it, I'm just not sure there's a good replacement for you.

I would try just using the videos off the sd-card, this way you can even watch them when the train goes underground/underwater/subway, etc. without draining your battery.

Then put your 4G on a few times a day to see it connect so you feel like you're not wasting the $10/month.

I have 3 of them for my family and we all love it, i agree this phone not for everyone. But if you had issues you should have exchanged it. Android is head and shoulders over the competition. Try maybe Epic, or try other OS.

100% user error. Reading your past posts about getting 4 hours of battery life makes it pretty obvious that you have no idea what you're doing. People like you kill me. Something goes wrong and instead of trying to find out what's really going on you just go nuts and blame the world. I can see you driving a Ferrari, get really bad gas and start telling everyone Ferrari sucks because it's slow and makes weird noises without trying to find the real cause. If you're getting that horrible battery life, and your phone is running that slow, there's something serious going on with your phone almost definitely a really bad app having it's way with your phone. But again, instead of investigating what's really going on you come here and start flaming. You look pretty foolish to some people that actually know about the phone when you come here bababling that a phone that's one of the fastest phones out right now, is slow. Then you complain about getting slow connection while you're on a train.. Wow seriously? Is that a real comment? Guess you don't know that when you're on the move your connection is worse. Go troll yourself back to the Epic forums.. Don't think I didn't notice you trolling in there...

Or go to AT&T and pay $130 a month for a sub-par phone...

Sorry you had issues and i hope you get a fair price for your EVO and find a device that better suits your needs. The forum you posted in is populated by people who own the EVO so creating such a post is just asking to be flamed. As i gave the advice earlier in this thread ... sometimes it's better to just say nothing at all. Good luck!
