I have a DX already.. thinking about getting this to tide me over until the Bionic arrives.. is it worth it?

It sure is for me! I'm very happy with it. Keep in mind, though, I just migrated from a BB Storm to the X2. The difference is like night and day!

My original intent was to buy the X2 to tide me over until the Bionic is released. Now, I may hang onto it until the next great phone after the Bionic is released.

I moved from the X to the X2 and after one day I am pleased with my decision. Faster, better display and I can still use my accessories. Sold my X for $210 and bought the X2 for $199. See that Costco has this for 149, so will be back to Best Buy this weekend to get the price matched. Good financial decision imho.

I plan to keep the X2 for the next year or so and then upgrade into the 4G world. Right now, 4G is too new and the battery life stinks. Once 4G is built out and new phones are developed, I expect the 4G experience to improve. Now that Verizon is looking to Tier data I am even happier. Fast, dual core and unlimited data....nice.

From my perspective X to X2 was a good move

I have a Moto Atrix which is tiding me over in the dual core front.. but I'd like it on my main phone.

the .595 leak runs pretty bad on my phone at times. I LOVE the email, how you can view by conversation and you can setup app groups, and the new widgets.. just the performance is in the pretty bad.. does the Dx2 just smokedog the UI?

The regular UI is rather smooth after it gets in cache. I don't personally enjoy it that much as you can't customize it (and it HAS to have 7 homescreens overkill to the max). So I just loaded Launcher Pro Plus onto it, and UI is as smooth as a hot knife through butter. I can't figure out how to get back to the regular home launcher though :P.

you can also d/l an app called home switcher of you want to be able to access the main home screen while still keeping LPP as your default
