Can we please get more ads? There's so much blank space on MobileAdNations that is wasted. This site needs more ads!!! And more html popup ads that you can't get rid of unless you scroll up to close them.

This is the #1 reason I must root!! If the ads weren't so intrusive I'd be fine

@ctt1wbw - your sarcasm isn't lost on me :P I do thank you for your passion and feedback though. Trust me, while it may not look like it from your side, we're always working to make things better. One thing you can do is report any bad ads directly to us (or to me personally) so that we can ping our ad partner to take them down.

I use the AC Forums app on my phone. No ads, and fast clean layout.

Now watch, they'll update the app to show ads...

True! I have bugged him personally and I have seen Mobile Nations then get bad ads removed!

Here is one. When I go to the main page, your site occasionally recognizes that I am using an ad-blocker and asks me to white list the site. I have considered it, but just in the last few days, when I go to any forum, as I scroll down to look for unread threads, something pops in from the bottom-right corner asking me to subscribe to your newsletter. I really don't want to subscribe, but nothing I do makes it go away (except remove the exception from the ad-blocker and then specifically pick out that ad). Even if I click "no thanks", it doesn't matter - it pops up again the next time I come in.

Show it to me once, or even once a week - fine. Please don't make it pop up every time.

Thanks. I'll consider white listing again when stuff like that stops happening.

And it comes to pass.

I understand the need to advertise... I really do. I even tried to turn off my ad-block for AC, but the site is simply too slow without it.

Sometimes it is not so much that you advertise, but "what" you advertise.

I couldn't believe that I saw this in the mobile ap. I think you would be hard pressed to find a AC writer/editor that would support such aps.

Are you using the full app? I'm on the AC Forums app, which is separate (though I think the other has forums access too), and still not seeing any ads.

And to play devil's advocate, the AC staff probably have little to no control over the content in an ad space, much like on radio and t.v. Advertisers buy a block of space with the given networks and the program hosts don't even know what's being played. Many times I've heard credit card and payday loan commercials when listening to the Dave Ramsey show, who's whole focus is getting out of debt and cutting up the credit cards ("plastic surgery" as he calls it. Lol).

I'm sure Cheetah Mobile is doing the same, just making its Clean Master banner ad, then buying a number of slots for that banner to be shown around the web.

Yes. I'm using the full app.

Like I said... I get the need for ads. But ad space can be controlled somewhat. On radio and TV, companies can also refuse to show some ads if it goes against their principle.

In this case of course, it isn't AC anymore, but Mobile Nations. So in that respect, it could be very much like your Dave Ramsey example. And just like your example... that typically becomes the case when $ becomes more important than mission. It's clear that AC has been going down that path. That doesn't mean it's wrong... just different.

I don't like different. :)

This is getting really, really, really, really annoying, by the way. Set a cookie and stop bothering people every time they open the site!!
