But, I made it today. Cancelled my preorder for the Pixel XL 128gb and ordered the V20, will get it tomorrow. After last night, handling both, I just loved the big screen on the V20, thought it looked great. Yes, was a little cooler, but that's fine.

I had the V10, was a nice device, but the battery life was horrible. Just hope this one doesnt have the boot loop issues down the road. I did test the speakers, sounded great, even at half volume in the store. I bought this mainly due to the screen and DAC just due to always listening to music.

The pixel lost me at looking too much like an Iphone on the front and no sd card. Turning in my Note 7 tomorrow for the V20 at Best Buy with a $200 gift card. will get me by until next Summer when I upgrade again.

ME TOO I preordered the Pixel and thought...ok while waiting around I'll order this V20. I got the V20 on monday and I really like it. Got the Pixel last night, it was in the return box this morning.

Nothing against the Pixel, looks like a great phone, but was kinda thick and heavy...the bezels..I know I know...but then the menu bar and the soft key bar took up so much room, there was no screen real estate left, and no sd card...too many cons and not enough pros...not for me. And yes, REALLY looks like an iphone...not that there's anything WRONG with that, I just don't like it.

And, coming from a note I was missing my lil s pen, I got an adonit sylus to work with that little note taking thingy.

The DAC is really impressive. I went from the V10 (with DAC) to the G5. The reduction in quality and thump was very noticeable. The G5 sounded like it was in mono compared to V10. I even tried the premium quality sound Tidal for 30 days, which helped a little (but terrible platform).
Now, happy to have great sound again with the V20.

Use the blue light filter on it's lowest setting and the blue screen calms down perfectly.....

Well if battery life is your worry there's no need...So far this phone is beating my Note 7...Not saying that the Note 7 set a high bar but still....

I'm only about 2 hours or so with my v20 but audio is great. I've had spotify running for over an hour and it sounds really good with hifi turned on.

Pixel looks too much like the iPhone and I browsed through the Pixel forums and found that our battery life is better than theirs.

Between the screens, the performance, the build, the audio, the removable battery, and the camera there's just something about the V20 that warrants lust. Okay, maybe not lust but a lot of admiration. While the S7e is certainly a very attractive device in its own right, the V20's more industrial approach gets me.

1) I noticed the knock feature doesn't work well with launchers. The stock theme sucks, but I like the knock on feature. Any ideas?

Ahhhhhh haaaa I was hoping this was rhe answer !?!?

I was trying to figure out why the double tap to wake and sleep wasn't working and had a feeling it may had been due to the Nova Prime !!!

Yeah I can get the screen to wake went it's off from a knock but can't put it to sleep with Nova ......But I'll give that up for everything else we get with Nova Prime

Same here. Will wake it up, but not to sleep. Maybe if we send feedback they might fix it?

Nova has the double-tap to shut off the screen as a feature. Go into nova settings/gestures

Same here. Will wake it up, but not to sleep. Maybe if we send feedback they might fix it?

Knocking on the status bar works to turn off the screen on Nova Launcher by default. That's the stock workaround on Nova since the LG g3.
