Those with 4.4 - any camera issues?

Curious if anyone who has updated to Kit Kat is having the slow camera issues that are being complained of in the Nexus 5 forum?

I thought that was a hardware issue caused when the phone got warm? If that's accurate then a software fix might be difficult.

My HTC One Unlocked/Dev Edition doesn't have the purple tint issue but in dark environments the very dark areas on the viewfinder show a purple/blue haze on them. Anyone on GPE can confirm if they are/aren't present?

The only thing keeping me from trying GPE is the camera app and zoes. Any good camera app suggestions? I have tried literally tons of apps and no one comes closer to the Sense camera. VSCO, Awesome Camera, Snap Camera HDR, Vignette, Holo Focus, Camera FV-5, etc....

I have 3 cameras on my HTC One. I am kinda liking the Cymera app from Google Play. Has all the features I need plus the ability to zoom.
