Thoughts on Android 12 on Pixel 4

I'll let you know. I think it just curls around the edges of the screen. Not supposed to cause any false touches.

Cool keep us posted. I'm leaning towards getting the Pixel 6 pro but I'm afraid of the curve screen lol. And I think I'm going to wait a couple months because they usually have sales

I wonder about the curved screen too. I ordered the Pro but financed thru Verizon. Didn't see an option for Buds. No big deal.
I think you had to add them to your cart. The discount is taken at checkout. I did not know tha either. Too much frustration just getting the phone ordered.

Just updated my 4xl last night to A12. OK I like the big, funky clock on the lock screen but that's about all; couldn't they have made the date, temp, and battery % a bit bigger while they were at it? Lots of downgrades from A11 IMO.

On 11, I was able to tap the "at a glance" widget's date to launch the calendar app. Gone on 12.

Putting the phone into vibrate on 11 put a little vibrate icon up into the top status bar. Gone on 12.

The "wallpaper and style" section of 11 was so much better. You could do different shapes for app icons. Just round ones on 12. And since the themed icons on 12 only works with Google apps, if you have any non G apps on your homescreen (and don't most of us?) the uniform theme is broken and looks bad.

And, as others have stated already, I really don't like seeing only 4 quick toggles when pulling down from the home screen (down from 6 on A11).

Pretty disappointed.

At A Glance just broke the other day, hopefully it will be fixed soon and weather appears for everyone AND tapping Date opens Calendar instead of opening Weather.

If you remove weather from at a glance options then tapping the date will bring up the calendar app.

Good to know. Let's hope. Thanks.

Everything works fine but it's gonna take some time to get used to the new look and quick settings. I do like having access to my cards in Google Pay from quick settings and how the theme can be set to match your wallpaper.

I just got an update today to my Google app and now the weather widgets are there

Problems with visual voicemail, calls blacklist, screen saver on the clock, won't go into do not disturb as programmed, and battery usage is terrible.
However, as I noted on the Android 12 forum, I should not be complaining and will be shutting down my account, just wondered over to this forum to see what was happening before I take off from this forum.

(Will add that although I did not like the looks of the main screen at the start, it is growing on me, heck even the Pixel 6 is growing on me.):D

4XL, I'm noticing the volume is lower. Not as robust as it used to be even on my Bluetooth speaker I'm having to raise the volume where it used to sound great. I've started using the eq in Spotify just to compensate but it's still terribly lower than before.
