I noticed I got 6 months free when I purchased my nexus 6 so I signed up. I really like it and I think I'm going to keep the subscription after the trial is over. Anyone else use it? I think it's a pretty good deal.

I've been impressed with it, thinking of continueing it and giving my wife the Prime music.

I too actually like it a lot. I may also keep it

I've been using it since November. Can't beat the price and the music assortment

I think its pretty solid---but something still seems missing from Radio...it seems like an after thought. Its gotten much better but I still find myself using Pandora for being able to push play and walk away. I'd like it if they incorporated more features from other sources. For example, I like Slacker's option to ban all songs by a particular artist. Also wish they had an app on Xbox One...

I've had it since it launched (still pay $7.99/mo) and I love it - its come a long way since the early days but its the best IMHO, playlists are the best part of the unlimited and being able to get other users lists.

When it first started they offered it for $7.99 and I quickly signed up. Have had it since and love it.

My only complaint since I have a lot of devices (I am a bit of a tech junkie), the allowable items add up quickly and you're only allowed 4 changes in one year, sometimes OS updates make your device show up more than once. I recently had to ask for my one time wipe of the account to get things right.

Also have had it since it launched and I dont know how I would live without it. No other streaming service automatically uploads your iTunes music into the cloud. And no other streaming service reliably uploads your on-computer music into the cloud either. I learned the value of this when my MB crashed. I didn't have to re-sync all my music from my external hard drive because it was already in the cloud.

I also think that Google has improved the service incredibly. Downloading music onto your phone used to be buggy and glitchy. Now, I dont really ever have problems. Paired with a Bluetooth speaker and even Chromecast on a TV, I listen to everything from music to podcasts at ease and across multiple devices.

I absolutely would recommend paying for it. I also think Google Play Music basically gets every single new song from major labels at the same time as iTunes and Spotify these days, and I've been pleasantly surprised by this (as it was not the case in earlier days).

I also signed up for the free 6 month trial. I will definitely keep the service once my trial is over.

I decided to do the 6 month trial also and I'm hooked!

Yup.. My six months expires next month... I've really enjoyed it.... I'll probably keep it too.... Thought I would cancel when the six months ran out.

It actually reminds me of my zune music subscription I had years ago but I think I paid $15 for that. I'm definitely keeping my subscription going after my 6 months are up.

Question? When y'all signed up for the free 6 months of Google play music, were you given a redemption code?

OK let me start from the beginning. I purchased my Nexus 6 the other day. I see in the GPM app about the free 6 months of GPM. So today, actually a half hour ago, I subscribed to get the free 6 months. I received the email but didn't instantly open it. I just went straight in and started picking the genres and favorite artists. Once I finished then I opened the email.

Of course it was the receipt thanking me for subscribing. But then I noticed that it said that my subscription would automatically renew on June 23rd 2015. I'm like wait.....hold up....that's not 6 months. So I immediately contacted Google about the situation. First he says "oh it seems that you have signed up for the free 30 day trial". Then asked if I was given a redemption code. I told him no. He repeated the statement about the 30 day trial.

So when I asked for a refund, he then wants to investigate the situation. He goes into my account and then claims to see that it says that my card won't be charged until November 20th. I said wait....I thought that I needed a code? He said that I don't need one in this case? I said well I need to have that in writing.

Something doesn't seem right.

I had no code. Just signed up and it said it would renew in 6 months.

The rep I spoke with just sent the email saying that there won't be any charges until November 20th. I was just a little leary cus they said I needed to have a code then I didn't.

Ad someone mentioned earlier, my only gripe is the device limitations. I change devices all the time and a few weeks ago got a message that I need to deauthorize a device before I can add the new one. Unfortunately, I had already used my 5 phone limit and it takes a year to clear after you reauthorize so I couldn't add another phone for a year.

If you change phones a lot, you will need to remove a phone as soon as you get rid of it. You get 5 phones and 5 other devices such as tablets and computers.

I am thinking about canceling and going with another service like Spotify but need to do a little research first.

Anyone know of another alternative?

Right now would be a good time to try Spotify. I've been getting emails to sign up for $.99 a month for the first 3 months. That would be worth it just to try the service out.
