What are the thoughts on screen protectors?

I baby all of my devices, and I feel like this one would need to be protected even more, since it's exposed most of the time.

What are the good ones? How easy/hard are they to apply? Do they stay on well?

Screen protector is useless. Modern devices have screen protector technology itself.

No they don't, I put one and keep one on all of my phones I buy.

I like Zagg. Any issues I have had, they replace it without any questions. I have tried a dozen screen protectors over the years and I keep going back to Zagg. I recently got mine at Target for $10

What about the 6 pack of Skinomi on Amazon for $9.95? It has good reviews and you get a lot of them.

They are alright for the money. If the protector gets ding up, it doesn't have the self healing properties that the Zagg has.

But, for six of them, you can re-apply with another one.

Do the Skinomi ones protect the screen?

In the store tonight, I tried to scratch one with metal - I couldn't.

They do protect. I just prefer the Zagg. I used the Skinomi on my gear 2 Neo. They protected very well. When I scratched the protector, it didn't do anything to the screen.

The Skinomi one goes underneath the home button and has holes for the front sensors. The Zagg one covers the sensors and doesn't cover beneath the button.

Any thoughts on this? Which is optimal?

As much as I use the button, I wouldn't want to to go that far. Just my personal opinion. As for covering the sensors, it is not an issue

It doesn't cover the button, just around it.

I listened to those that said I didn't need one, then one day I noticed a small scratch. I wish I would have went with a screen protector earlier. this is the one I have on now and I've been very happy with it. it comes in a 2 pack so you can change them if you need. the screen protector also hides the scratch that I had and I'm very happy with them.
