Thoughts on the Ticker Display?

Yes you can control the music player on the second screen. At least mine works, I'm using rhapsody

So now that it's out, does anybody find it useful? I haven't used the shortcuts much, probably won't, but I do like it for notifications and a cleaner screen.

I didn't even set up the shortcuts. I like it for:

1) Notifications with the screen off and on.
2) Switching between recent apps.
3) Controlling the music player with he screen off and on
4) answering and rejecting calls. THis one the reviews didn't mention, probablay because they didn't have active phones.

So far I'm liking the second screen. I thought I'd hate it but it's actually really useful. And it's not as hard to reach as I thought it would be. Probably the best feature about it are that those damn annoying toast notifications in Lollipop appear there instead of the top of the screen. Seeing the notifications there when the regular screen is off is also nice. I've used the music controls there and even answered a call from there, which was a little awkward since the area is so small. The signature is also a nice touch; you can change it to anything you want bit it defaults to your name.

Do you think it uses up much battery?

I'm really liking the second screen a lot. Coming from the S6 edge which the "edge" wasn't useful IMO. I can control all the things I need to with this second screen. I really don't see it effecting the battery at all.

Needs a software update ASAP. Not bright enough, no backlight customization settings, notifications flash by way too quickly.

Second screen to me is completely useless with the screen off until they update the software controlling it. When the screen is on however, it's very cool and I find myself using it all the time to switch between apps. The second screen is kind of a necessity for a phone this big, especially if you don't have gigantic hands.

Where is the flashlight?

When the phone is locked swipe the second screen left and then the icon appears. You can also add a flashlight shortcut to the second screen for quick launch when it's unlocked.

I'll agree on auto brightness, I feel for me its too dim, I set mine at 45% and leave it and it's fine, I'm not a 'heavy user' but use my phone all day on and off and have no battery concerns.
