the 3200 mah battery killed it for me. Theres no justification to launching a new phone today with anything less than 3500. Also why a 16/8mp rear cameras. this presentation was horrible

I know it's removable but I don't know how much more you can fit into this phone. Pixel XL comes with 3450 so for ME, it's either trust the bootloop is gone or STAY with Google which is perfectly fine with me.

The battery doesn't surprise, or bother me since it's removable and thus likely upgradable.

As for the camera, what about it? I haven't seen the presentation yet, but I don't know what any manufacturer can do with that small of a camera anymore that's really earth shattering.

The battery sounds on par from what I saw. Others saw a 4k one but I didn't believe it.

Can't have a huge battery that isn't sealed. You need to take up space to make the back removable.

Other than that, I sort of agree with your camera comment. They really have moved forward with camera performance in any meaningful way since the G4.

I'm SUPER interested in the audio stuff though.

Focus speed is one thing that can be better on LG phones. In fact it's my only complaint about LG's cameras now since other phones exist that do it so much better.

I am disappointed. The two areas I was concerned about before the V20 was revealed was the battery and the screen and LG failed in both areas. It doesn't make sense that a company that makes beautiful displays won't make a beautiful display for their own mobile devices.

Looks pretty darn solid so far. From what I've seen, this just might be a solid Note7 alternative for those who don't care for the S Pen and want a big phone with a removable battery with the bonus of having great audio.

But if info that it doesn't come to Europe and late availability holds true, then there are concerns...

How do you know the display is not "beautiful"? A display has one job, to portray the content accurately and at an adequate brightness level for the environment you're in.

Because you can see the display in the Pocketnow video. It is dull. It clearly lacks contrast and brightness.

are these the same cameras from the g5 or v10? why didnt they go in depth with them or did i miss that part. Also why use a 16 and 8 mp camera for the rear? the note 7 is FUBAR due to battery issues and tomorrow apple shows off the new iphone, LG should have knocked it out of the park with dual 16's , a big battery and brighter colors

Having a removable battery makes the size almost irrelevant to me, but I was hoping for more if an upgrade to the camera and screen. Since they didn't go into much detail on the technology on either during the live stream, I'm assuming the main camera is the same they've used since the g4 and the main screen will probably be the same as the v10.

As far as what they could've done to improve the camera, the insane focus speed on the s7e and note 7 are one of the most noticeable improvements to a phone camera you're going to come across. It really changes the experience of trying to capture shots of moving subjects (kids, pets.)

So a video of a display being viewed on an entirely different display is how you're judging the quality? Come on....

My questions revolve around capability. Color accuracy, max sustainable brightness, DCI-P3 capability, black level. Things like that. Things that definitely can't be judged based on a video of a phone being viewed on a different device.

This phone was done WELL BEFORE Samsung had any issues with the Note 7.

I believe the camera is the same as the G5 based on what I've read. Which isn't saying that image quality will be bad, I think the G5 has an underrated camera. I just wish they would improve the focus speed.

The v10 display just want very good. It wasn't bright and the viewing angles are terrible compared to Samsung's. LG's screens have always been something I've just had to tolerate whereas the screen on my s7 edge is just enjoyable to look at.

g5's camera is terrible in side by side pics with every other flagship. i need to design a phone for me

Yes, these things can be seen in a video or more accurately, their lack of.

Nope, but nothing I say is going to convince that taking a video using an image sensor of a display with an unknown white balance and then playing that encoded video on an entirely different device isn't going to be indicative of said display performance at all.

Seems they DID improve the focus:

LG V20 preview: Four cameras, two screens, zero compromises | Android Central

The one change here is in terms of auto focus, where the V20 has a hybrid system consisting of laser, phase-detect and contrast auto focusing, choosing the right system depending on the situation. I've been intrigued by the wide-angle secondary camera on the G5 and I'm happy to see it here — and while it's somewhat disappointing to see the same camera setup as the G5, it's still slated to be one of the best cameras available today.
