Thunderbolt and Business emails - who has done it?

One alternative to try...

A few buddies of mine have the EVO and one of the apps that came with their phone is Moxier Mail. I never tried it on my OG Droid but I recently tried the two week trial on my TB and it actually worked for me even after my company added extra security channels. I haven't had the opportunity to play with it but so far so good. Figured it would be worth a try. Unfortunately, after the free trial It's a paid app by downloading the full app.

i sync three email accounts 2 MSOL and one local exchange. The default email client is not very customize friendly. I'm currently using Enhanced email and it rocks. Seems really light weight, over all stable.

Many options for customization: color code mail accounts, alternate notification sounds per account, choose a primary account to send out mail...stand out the most.

i jumped on the developers website and asked for a trial before i bought, didnt take too long before I bought it. If you are curious 'improved email' is similar but more buggy. The developer is pretty active for enhanced email.

My exchange email works perfectly. You're just missing a setting...it's very straightforward once you have the information.

I was already pointed out, but make sure you're setting this up in the Mail app and not the gmail app, and make sure you do Manual Setup.

I'm obviously doing something wrong. I will have to ask others at work tomorrow.

I know at least a few people that use Droids at work and they get their email.

Thanks again everyone.

I had the same problem on my first Android phone. What solved my problem was updating the Exchange software on the server. When you do the out of the box installation of Exchange, it doesn't automatically install activesync. It has been some time since I did it, but if I am not mistaking once I updated the software on the server, it worked on my phone flawlessly. Make sure you have activesync installed on your exchange server. I believe it is part of a service pack. We are a small business and I was able to do the update myself, so check with your IT folks and I would bet that is what the problem is.

Email me if you have any questions.

I just have my work emails forwarded to the gmail app on my dinc and in the cloud settings have the ability to respond from the email it's sent to or from anyone of my other accts.

Just another option.
The other end will never know the difference.

Yes, I have also set my gmail to allow responding from whatever address the email came from, but one thing I can't tell is, can you do this from your phone too? If so, I'll probably have my other mail forwarded. Not knowing this is what has been holding me back.

If you have webmail option to check email outside of work and VPN then you put that address in the Server name. For instance my company uses outlook.domainname.com.
