Thunderbolt has started resetting more and more often

Not quite sure what to think of this, but my Thunderbolt (stock, bought day 1, NOT UPDATED with any official [or unofficial] updates-- it's totally stock) has started randomly rebooting more and more often. When I first got it it was shutting down randomly maybe once every 2-3 weeks. But now, since about last Friday, it's been either randomly restarting or shutting down about once a day.

I have never upgraded or anything like that-- is it possible some app I've installed in the last few days would be causing this? (would it have to be something I was running or could something just being installed do this) Or is this just my turn in the barrel, so to speak, with the random reboot problems so many have had? (but like I said, I never upgraded the phone)

I live and work in Los Angeles with pretty strong 4G coverage although I run the phone in 3G almost all of the time for battery life (I switch to 4G when I need it). I've noticed the reboots tend to come around "antenna switches" -- when I started using Navigation yesterday (and GPS came on), today when I got home I switched on Wifi and it had rebooted itself sometime after that.. not sure if that could play into it.

Any ideas, short of a factory reset? :'(

Same here, terrible. Maybe 2-3 times a day. I am running the official MR1 update. May just root because I loved my rooted Incredible. Till now, I had no reason to root but this is getting super annoying.

Loved my stock tbolt till randoms started. Rooted (1st time) yesterday still stock and having random reboot. Trying to decide which roms to flash to get rid of randoms ugh! Nervous but already rooted so wth....

I have a factory rooted one, and it has started rebooting itself about once a week. Never did before, now it is once a week for the last 3wks

I have had the same problem. Verizon said it came from the last update in April and that Google is working on a fix for it. The fix was supposed to be out in mid June but since we are past that date I don't know what they are doing. My phone ended up turning itself off in the middle of the night and having a daughter that is due to have a baby anyday I told Verizon they had better do something. They said my phone seems to be having more problems then others they have heard from so they are sending me a refurbished phone to replace it. They said it might have the same problems as this one but to a lesser degree until the update comes out. I was not happy at all about getting a refurbished phone considering mine is only 3 months old and have just gotten it set up to my liking. I am just so frustrated because I also was having a problem with the phone staying on the 3g network...it would randomly slip to 1x. Very frustrating when I bought the phone they told me 4g would be here in June.

I've had mine for about 3 weeks and it just started rebooting a couple of days ago. It happened while I was listening to music so I noticed it immediately but it may have been rebooting more often without my noticing. I switched from an Incredible which was giving me problems.

I have also noticed that my bolt is resetting more. Maybe verizon is testing something with there network

mine started that and one day it reset 7 times in 20 min:mad: and I couldn't make a call out, so i got a refurbished one 2 weeks ago and only had 2 resets. :D

I have noticed it rebooting 4 times a day at least. Once 3 consecutive times. Don't want a replacement. It just wrong to replace a phone I did not damage with a refurbished one. Frustrating.

Why don't you ALL just put the leaked first mr2 update on with no root....it fixed every single one of my problems...

Its software not hardware so just hold out. It'll be fixed soon. This phone rocks in every other sense. The good with the bad!
