Thunderbolt misidentiied as a Mecha

Since installing the MIUI ROM (which is working fine), my phone misidentifies itself as an HTC Mecha, when it is actually a Thunderbolt. Has anyone else experienced this problem? How do I get it to recognize the phone correctly? This hasn't been a problem until recently when I've run into a couple of apps that are not compatible with Mecha.

Mecha is the actual HTC name for the phone. all files you'd see are mecha. Thunderbolt is the consumer name
