Hi,
I know this may seem to be a weird question but, I'm trying to decide on purchasing a thunderbolt or an iPad 2 or 3. I have an iPad 1 but I really want video chat capabilities when I'm on the road or just away from my family..I have a 1yr old and I travel for about 6 weeks a year.
I really want video chat...I have a droid x currently.
The advantages in buying the thunderbolt would be a faster phone for tethering..if I'm in 4g which I wouldn't be too much while traveling...locking in unlimited data with 4g, and video chat always available, plus it would cost less than upgrading my iPad.
The iPad advantages would be larger screen for video chat..I could tether to my droid x to video chat without wifi.
I guess I wonder if the smaller screen on the thunderbolt would really detract from the video chat experience enough to justify the extra expense of the iPad...i also wonder if I would be disappointed in the thunderbolt in general...reception would be the most important factor, battery second, and lack of buggyness would be my priorities.
Do you have any advice? I'm due for an upgrade on May 16th and trying to decide. Thanks!
