Or maybe how NOT good it is......

Well...This morning I did the bump charge thing and noticed it never got to 100%. 99% is the most I could get it to. No matter, it didnt stay there for long. It went down to 94% after about 5 minutes. I took if off the charger at 8am and right now it is 2pm. It is currently at 48%, with about 5-7 calls made, no more than 10 minutes each. I have done some browsing, facebook, twitter, took a few pics, and for the most part it has been in my pocket. I would say a solid 1 hour of use off and on. So, not horrible, but not as good as the Atrix or iPhone 4.

As others have stated, it will likely get better after a few days use and for those going to get an extended battery should have no problem getting a day or two use. First day with a device is always a battery hog cause it never leaves your hands!! :)

Good to know. I am ok with a day of use out of one charge since I don't make calls in my sleep anyway...:D

I am thinking about getting the 1600mAh battery tomorrow if it is small enough NOT to require a larger battery cover.

Darn. I'm coming from an Dinc so I was hoping for better stock battery performance.

Wow my son came home took his Dinc out his pocket and the entire phone was wiped clean it was actually at the set up screen like when I first purchased it. How could this have happened? I had to actually go through the set up process to get his phone activated again. He lost everything :( Don't meant to go off topic but this is upsetting

As far as finding the 4G toggle, have you looked at this menu?

Have you been running it off 4g constantly or toggling between 3g and 4g? I'm not really impressed by the battery life but a spare battery will fix that for me.

i'm not too saddened by this in the long run.
for instance, in the same scenario, i left the house with 94% charge, got to work, nocalls but minor internet browsing & uploading to Facebook--- and i'm now at around 20%. 6 hours to lose 74% battery. difference? i work in a warehouse with no cell repeaters & very minimal, if any, signal.
so anything involving perception of poor battery life could simply be due to the area you're in with poor cell coverage. if you were rocking full bars all day and it wasn't searching for any cell service--then yes, then i'd worry.

thanks for keeping up with your on-going review of the phone, everyone appreciates it!

Oh man!! I had a feeling something like this was going to happen!! :( Hopefully they get it working by the time the strike is over...I just pray they ever give it to us.:(:( I guess the fact that it shows up in the market is good news though. If they were going to prevent the Thunderbolt from getting it I would think they would be hiding it from the device(That's my glass half full take on this :)) This really sucks tho: one of the actually GOOD bloat apps and it doesn't come preloaded!

on the brochure at verizon when compared to other phones it states that NFL MOBILE is not available on the TBOLT?

i have brochure in my hands...

OP, did i miss the link to your blog, or a separate spot in which you posted your review?

sorry if this seems impatient--but since the phone comes out tomorrow, you'd get a ton of views since everyone wants to hear a new review before they grab a TB.
thanks!
