thunderbolt rooted!

Any idea when we may see a 1 click root for the tbolt? Fairly new to rooting and have only done my X and way late in the game.... Generally how long before someone like Z4 pumps something out?

Thanks in advance :)

Noob question

Just read on xda the thunderbolt has been rooted. This is nice next up cm7. Clockwork installed In the Name of Root [We Did It] - xda-developers

Yeah, but what do all those "Can't mount", "Failed" entrees mean? If I saw those on my first Root attempt I'd be slightly concerned.:(

I've had the phone for an hour now, and it's taking too long to get some root love haha

If this is anything like other HTC phones:

Z4root will NOT achieve permanent root. It will achieve temporary root, but HTC has this nasty little trick where they restore everything on the phone to the way it was before it was temp rooted once you reboot.

There will likely be a one-click, permanent root/s-off via UnrEVOked before too long. I'd give them about a month to support the Thunderbolt.

Until then, the really adventurous can delve into command prompt stuff to root.

thats ok,i'll wait for the UnrEVOked. :)

I'll be one of the adventurous ones delving into command line stuff. Doing it with a 1-click just isn't as satisfying.

Say that once you go through 5 phones...one click is the win.

No root is so depressing, all the VZW crapware, please hurry for 1 click root!
