Anything about a 1 year contract around?

Just called the local Verizon store and the sales person said they'd be offering 2 yr, 1yr, and month to month contracts for the Tbolt. The also weren't putting any aside or taking preorders.

I called a local store and they said they would honor my early 2yr upgrade. So the info that telesales gave me was incorrect

Try to call 611# I was just told I could put the phone on my acct

edit I am doing it now: Oh man I got this dude from the deeeeeep south and he said YES!!!!!!...well he also said that I wont have deal with a rebate

So thats a yes to 1 yr looks like Ill be using my last NE2 for a one year upgrade

The moral of the story here is that Thursday is going to be a mad-house of everyone getting different answers depending on such factors as which sales representative one deals with, what the manager of the store allows, and how many Thunderbolts are available in each store.
I predict that there are going to be quite a number of conflicting stories on Thursday as we get these devices (or not) and tell our tales. Especially since some VZW stores are reportedly taking names/making appointment, and others are not (even when asked -- which is my situation).
I plan to carry a bottle of headache medicine with me Thursday morning when I go to my local VZW store.

I plan to carry a bottle of AWESOME, and OD on that **** when the TBolt lands in my hands. BOOMSKIES.

Will the thunderbolt work on an Alltel Smartpack plan.?

I called 611 today and asked that question and was told nothing will change. I was worried about that too. The new data plan should replace the old one. Hopefully they are not lying to me.

i Think this is a dumb question but im going to ask anyway. Is adding a line the same as upgrade? I am entitled to 5 lines I currently have my son on one of Verizon lines, If I add a line to get the TB am I entitled to 249 price? Sorry been on at&t network for a long time don't know how Verizon works.

I will be at the local Verizon store first thing this Thursday, will make sure to get there before opening. I can't wait! I will be refunding my HTC Inspire from AT&T for a refund, as I'm still within my 30 day window. Just in time with a couple days to spare! I really like the HTC Inspire a lot, and I think I'm going to like the Thunderbolt even that much more, especially with the faster LTE speed, along with the unlimited data plan! I plan on playing around with the Skype video calls too, can't wait. This will make all my many coworkers with their iPhones downright green with envy! Haha!
