Time and Date is wrong!!!

I've had it about a month now and over the last 2 weeks the time and date started resetting itself to 2013. No matter what settings I have. I took it back and got a new one from AT&T, sure hope this one doesn't do the same thing. Anybody else have this problem?

May be the problem is in your time/date mobile setup. In my case was the wrong time zone setup of my Galaxy S5

Thanks but I checked that, it was correct. All settings were correct, it just started happening last week.

My wife had the exact same problem. I tried everything I could to fix it but nothing worked.
We ended up going back to T-mobile and they replaced the sim card and that was the fix.

It is typically a local tower issue. Your watch gets time from local tower but AT&T is known to have many 2G towers with incorrect time settings (mainly the wrong timezone).

Oh wow... so I've had my new Gear S for 22 days now and I just turned it back on and the date was Dec 2013, 7pm. It's 4:30 in the morning. If that's the case how come this never happens with my cell phone?

Back in the dawn of 3G days, many cell phone did have this problem because 3G towers are sparse. Nowadays, you mostly locked on to LTE, sometimes 3G/4G. Most phones rarely ever see 2G. Given Watch's smaller size and no LTE support, it could fall back to 2G signal when it can't lock on to a 3G (or so-called 4G by AT&T) signal. When this happens, you typically see your phone gets a wrong time zone.

In your case above, you simply need to wait a few minutes for network time to sync in. Why it didn't happen with phones? How many Tizen phone have you used before ? My guess is zero. If it is so easy to create your own phone OS, everybody will do it. Samsung, driven by greed, choose to have its own phone OS called Tizen in order to get away from Google.
