Time delay for screen on when you press the home button.

Hi,
I and hoping someone can help me with an issue I'm having with my S5. When I press the home button, I only have about 3-4 seconds to put in my passcode. Sometimes it times out before I can get started even putting it in. LOL Is there any want to extend that time? I tried the screen on feature, but it does not appear to work until after you have passed the pass code stage.

Is your smart stay ON? Make sure its check marked in screen settings. It doesn't work perfectly, but it will help.

I did have my smart stay on but it didn't seem to help unless I was already pass the lock screen.
