Time Display - AM and PM

I hate to make a new thread for this, especially since I'm pretty sure it's not the best first thread ever, but I couldn't determine any decent place to put it as a post...

So am I crazy, or does the lock screen clock and regular clock in the upper right not display AM or PM when using the 12-hour clock? What's craziest is that when opening the Clock app, AM or PM will display, as well as when looking in the Date and Time settings.

I know it's a small thing, and I'm really nitpicking, but this is actually probably the biggest issue I'm having with the phone (except for a few app issues when forcing 2D GPU rendering, anyway).

Nope, it doesn't. Android hasn't done this by default ever since 2.3 came out.

Oh, that's why I didn't realize... My last phone was a stock 2.2.3 Droid 1. Well dang... Oh well, it's not like I don't know if it's AM or PM, just miss seeing it. Maybe I'll be different and try a 24-hour clock for a change.

I know this may sound like a consolation but, I have a beautiful weather widget on my home screen which shows weather and time with AM and PM.

I think it looks cleaner without the distinction. One of the subtleties I liked about gingerbread.
