Been noticing my battery is just making it thru the day. Reviewed some yt videos and bought a battery on Amazon last night. I'm really happy the battery has lasted this long. Bought the watch new...wow...several years ago now.
I never saw a gasket. Sadly I popped the ribbon connection off the circuit board as shown in the pic. Samsung has it now, so it should be back to the factory water resistance when they return it. Seems like it was just glued to the board.
I have a naive question? When the battery is replaced the watch is formatted by itself, so you have to configure everything from scratch like when you just bought a watch?

Hmm, good question. Since I jacked mine up and had to have Sammy fix it, mine was reset and had to be reconfigured.
Would replacing the battery be any different than simply powering it down? There is an update out there that's going to require you to reconfigure stuff anyways.
Thank you for your reply !
After I charged the watch via laptop every day (plugged the usb cable into the laptop and thus charged my Samsung watch) I started to lose energy every day, the battery drained faster. I did this for about 4 months, and in the evening when I charge it to 100% in the morning when I wake up it shows me that it only has about 65% more energy. I was already thinking about replacing the battery and yesterday I tried to charge it once again with its original 0.7 amp charger ...... and a miracle happened! The watch has been working for 2 days now, I turn on Bluetooth, I often look at the watch, and it shows that it still has 73% of the battery. However, you should only use what the factory prescribed, these external chargers only when they are absolutely necessary!
This is what I meant, this should be used:
