Timer countdown with LED flash?

I used the self timer for the first time yesterday to take an Easter picture. My sister, who used her iphone, did her timer and I noticed that the rear Flash LED blinked for the countdown, then blinked rapidly to show when the picture was going to be taken. On my Samsung, mine did not.

The flash LED countdown would be very helpful to know when the camera will take a picture.

How does everyone else know when the camera will take the picture and will Samsung ever include that useful tool in the future?
