Tip: How to get rid of carrier logo on the status bar

I finally figured out how to get rid of the annoying Metro PCS logo on the notification status bar. Download an app called "status" and enable it. The carrier logo will be gone. You can also customize the status bar and change the appearance and customize the icons. The app is lightweight and does not cause any issues. Looks MUCH better now.
