I noticed people post their experience on how to install the Whitestone Dome Glass in various places - difficult to find when you need it. So I thought we could have one thread for that. Share your best advice here. People can also ask questions specific to installation proccess.

Mine would be: use masking tape on all the buttons, ports and openings. You won't regret it.

And a question: any way to prevent a glue/dust halo forming?

Prevent? Not sure if that's possible. But i do take an alcohol swab and wipe the phone down evry 2wks or so. It takes care of the dust/lint build up around the edges and the added benefit of disinfecting the grubby frm daily use.

Doesn't that make the adhesive under your screen gunky? It sure did for me :/.

Growing a little despereate here with the dust gathering around the adhesive on the edges. I will install a new set soon but if this continues to happen, I won't be a happy camper :(.

I returned mine as decided that I'd rather 'not risk it' with a £40 screen protector and stuck with my i-Blason rugged case and have bought a few tempered glass protectors (normal ones) for the rare occasion I'll use one of my wallet style cases

However, for installation instructions, I would have used this video by Mobile Fun:

I discovered that if I use an LED flashlight shining parallel to the surface, dust and smudges show up much better.
Interesting that they say the glue is non-toxic to humans but get it on to the plastic installation frame and you may re-think that claim...
